Starting from the Coronavirus lockdown, Via Times’s amazing covers (and stories) tell fascinating graphic art designs with interesting stories inside for the months of April, May and June 2020,. See VT cover images.

April depicts “Staying Inside, Staying Alive”; May shows the “Super Heroes”‘ in conjunction with the Philippine Nurses Week, and June features the “Reopening of America” all historical covers depicting the traumatic stages of our coronavirus experiences 2020. Thank you so much to my very talented artist brod-in-law, Antonio de Tablan, whose creative executions of the realities of life amidst the Pandemic are portrayed so vividly in three issues in 2020.

Via Times was also the recipient of grant awards for these Covid coverages from the MacArthur Foundation. A year before that, Via Times received the award of the “Best Print Magazine” from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas.

With all the hard work that we’ve dedicated and devoted in publishing VT for our community service together with God’s blessings and guidance, we are so appreciative of all the graces and blessings that come our way through the years.

Enjoy the height of the summer days in Chicago, mostly hot and humid in the 80’s and 90’s, but seniors be careful, as you’re in the group that are susceptible to heat stroke and dehydration as many cases have been reported from many local hospitals.

Have fun and enjoy your summer reading of the July 2022 issue where your favorite columnists share with you the latest news and developments from their hearts. ##
