The AntiPutin Noon Rally

March 17, 2024, at noon 400-410 Michigan Ave, Chicago

“Anti-Putin Noon” is one of the many rallies that is being organized throughout the world in solidarity with the political protest action planned in Russia. March 17 is the last day of the Russian presidential election, where Vladimir Putin faces no meaningful opposition. To protest, anyone who doesn’t want to see Putin as president is urged to show up at their local polling place at noon. The idea is that this would create lines and show how many people continue to oppose Putin’s regime, even if they can’t vote it out. There is no polling station for Russian citizens to vote in Chicago, we will gather at exactly noon to support our compatriots and show that, no matter where Putin looks, there are Russians who stand against his tyranny.

Who: Members of Chicago-area Russian-speaking diaspora who oppose Putin’s regime, Voice of Free Russia Chicago and Russian America for Democracy in Russia Chicago grassroots organizations, and their supporters.
