October is Pregnancy and Miscarriage Loss Awareness Month

October is Pregnancy and Miscarriage Loss Awareness Month, a time that honors pregnancies that were lost due to miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss, raises awareness about miscarriage and loss and offers hope to those who have experienced it.

Sadly, as many as half of all pregnancies may end in a miscarriage but fortunately, many women will go on to have a baby later.1 Regardless of the fact that miscarriages are so common, for those who experience this loss, they are left feeling hopeless, defeated and questioning if they will have a baby. In recent news, there have been celebrities who have bravely opened up about their own miscarriages, in an effort to help other women/couples who face the same painful loss, including Hilaria Baldwin and most recently the tragic passing of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s infant.

To answer some of the most pressing questions women and couples have around miscarriages and more importantly, to offer these individuals hope, here is a story with medical experts from Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago, which is part of The Prelude Network, who can share with your audience:

· How common miscarriages are

· Why they occur

· The correlation between miscarriages and fertility
