BREAST CANCER Awareness Month

During the Philippine-American History Month, the Chicago Nightingales (CN) team has continued its annual mission to spread education and awareness on the effects of early screening on Breast Cancer. The CN team made a courtesy call upon the Consulate General of Japan in Chicago. They met with Consul Kanno who was very grateful to allow them time to share their personal stories with their Consulate offi ce staff. After only minutes, the CN group felt a certain comfort and a personal connection and stronger bond, a bond that each wanted to share and to continue with these helpful health topics. As with CN’s previous events, the nation of Japan wishes to explore the many diverse cultures together with the CN members. (By Rose SD)
