23rd Annual Chicago Filipino Asian American Hall of Fame Awards & Induction Ceremonies Gala Event 2017

THE MOST COVETED HOF 2017 CRYSTAL TROPHY RECIPIENTS! Presenting the batch of the most deserving achievers, 2017 CHICAGO FILIPINO ASIAN AMERICAN HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES 2017 ON OCT. 14, 2017 AT HYATT REGENCY O’HARE ROSEMONT!

Celebrating its 23rd annual Awards & Induction Ceremonies, the Chicago Filipino American Hall of Fame 2017 will present its annual spectacular salute to accomplished and deserving Filipinos/Asian Americans & Friends at a red-carpet awards gala dinner dance to be held on October 14, 2017 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Hotel, Rosemont, Illinois.

This awards project is co-sponsored by the VIA Times Newsmagazine and the Chicago Philippine Reports TV (CPRTV) for the benefit of the Chicago Philippine Reports TV, also known as CPRTV (the one and only locally produced Filipino TV show in the Chicagoland & Midwest area). Part of the proceeds will also benefit other charitable causes from here and in the Philippines.

This most prestigious awards ceremony in the Filipino American community of Chicago that has been compared to the annual Oscar’s awards ceremony, will proudly present its most coveted HOF crystal trophies to the following awardees (some are representatives from different states)… Dr. Marjerie Badilla – Excellence in Aesthetic Medicine; Ravi Baichwal – Outstanding Asian American in Media; Marie Cunning – Woman of the Year 2017;Attorney Janice Dantes (Excellence in Law); Carlota Domantay – Humanitarian/Community Service; Gemma Esmalla – Nursing Executive/ Education Leadership; Richard Felicelda – Man of the Year; Nell & Lain Frias & Family – Model Family; Louis De Guzman – Young Achiever in Visual Arts; Ben Inventor – Excellence in Nursing Education; Mar Lapena – Excellence in Fashion; Patricia Leonardo – Young Achiever-Entrepreneurship; Roselle Olea – Community Leadership; Dr. Maria Lourdes Geraldine Banaad-Omiotek- Excellence in Family Practice Medicine 2017; Mayor Rita Sanders – Excellence in Public Service; Singers of Silayan Association – Community Service Through Music; Olivia Trinquand – Excellence in Entertainment; Larry Ventresca – Friend of the Filipino; Michael Vianzon, PMP – Excellence in Engineering.

Ms. Marie Cunning, who is receiving the Woman of the Year 2017 Hall of Fame Award, will serve as the guest speaker. She is serving as the current President of the National Federation of the Philippine Chambers of Commerce USA..

Expected attendance will be about 500 to 600 people. Dancing till the wee hours will be provided by the wonderful music of Chaz Patron & Edizon Dayao and Richie Gil. The Party Master (all former hall of famers). Serving as masters of ceremonies are veteran co-emcees Maria Girlie Pascual and Nick Vera Perez.
