ADVISORY TO THE FILIPINO COMMUNITY IN THE MIDWEST AND PARTS OF SOUTHERN U.S.

The Consulate General of the Philippines in Chicago wishes to advise all members of the Filipino community in the Midwest and parts of the South that the Senate of the Philippines has not, in any way, entered into a partnership with Digital Currency Co., Ltd (DCC).

Philippine Senate President Aquilino “Kiko” Pimentel III denies any affiliation with the cryptocurrency firm and that there is “no partnership” between him and the firm, or the senate and the firm.

Members of the Filipino community may wish to exercise caution and prudence and conduct thorough research and verification of credentials over such cases where names of government officials and organizations are used in investment schemes.

To date, the Philippines’ Department of Justice (DOJ) has already ordered the investigation of the Digital Currency Co. Ltd (DCC).

For any institutions claiming affiliation with any government offices in the Philippines, the public is encouraged to inquire directly with said offices and verify their authenticity and bona fides before engaging in transactions with them. END
