VIA TIMES Endorses Jesus “Chuy” Garcia for Mayor of Chicago

For the past four years, incumbent Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is a NON-TRANSPARENT MAYOR in Chicago’s Neighborhood. AMERICA is a Land of Immigrants. With due respect and concern to other Ethnic Communities in Chicago, in his four years of office, never had Mayor Emanuel ever honored our invitations to him as the Honorable Guest Speaker at our Asian American Community which celebrates the Heritage of our respective Nativeland like our Philippine Independence Day — a very opportune time for him to meet hard-working Filipino Americans who have contributed their talents to America’s Nation Building. Seemingly UNfeeling of all Chicago ethnic communities, Mayor Emanuel abolished Ethnic Commissions like the Asian Advisory Council (created by the late Mayor Harold Washington) and the annual celebration of our Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month (proclaimed by former President George Bush (the Dad).
