7 Ways To Guarantee Your Financial Future in 2015 (Part 2)

5. Always remember. . .yes, never forget. . .why you have what you have. . .and who gave it to you. First, God brought you out of whatever mess you were in. Deuteronomy 7:19 in the New Living Translation say:“. . .And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the strong hand and powerful arm with which he brought you out of Egypt. The Lord your God will use this same power against all the people you fear.” Second, if you fail to remember how he delivered you. . .He just may forget you as well. Deuteronomy 28:47-48 in the New Living Translation says: “If you do not serve the Lord your God with joy and enthusiasm for the abundant benefits you have received, you will serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you. You will be left hungry, thirsty, naked, and lacking in everything. The Lord will put an iron yoke on your neck, oppressing you harshly until he has destroyed you.”

Third, your most important financial relationship is not with your banker or broker but your Holy Ghost provider. Luke 12:21 in the New Living Translation says:

“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.” Fourth, be humble regardless of what you’ve got. 1 Timothy 6:17 says:

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” Fifth, when you remember who brought you to the dance. . .you will move into His blessing flow. Ephesians 1:3 says: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Finally, 1 Timothy 6:17-19 in the Message Bible provides additional insight: “Tell those rich in this world’s wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow. Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage—to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they’ll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life.”

6. God secures your financial future by giving you an expert consultant. If you have a lot of money. . .or, if you have any money. . .there is always someone willing to give you advice. . .even free advice. Before buying into someone else’s vision of your financial future. . .chat with the consultant who will never have a conflict of interest.

Over the years, I’ve had people offer me free advice on my financial affairs. . .but I knew enough about sales techniques. . .to know when they were trying to steer the conversation. . .into a closing question for them. John 14:26 says: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

Wow. . .I love this verse. Hallelujah, He will bring ALL THINGS to my remembrance. That’s how I pray for our daughters. . .the actress and the student. . .that they will recall and remember everything they’ve read or heard which will benefit their future success. Remember all things. However, if we forget something. . .we still have the Comforter . . . our financial consultant to help us through every important decision. I’ve been using the HGC (Holy Ghost Consultant) for a number of years and He has never given me bad advice on any specific investment I’ve asked Him about. His recommendations always bring a major ROI (return on investment). . .sometimes 30 fold, 60 fold and even 100 fold and beyond. If you want to guarantee your financial future. . .you must be listening to the right voice.

7. When you follow His instructions. . .God has plans for you. Jeremiah 29:11 in the New International Version says: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

There are seven powerful thoughts in this verse. First, He knows the plans He has for you. Plans can be good or bad depending on the heart of the one formulating the plans. However, there can never be a question about the kind of plans God would have for you.

Second, God’s plan is to prosper you. When I read this verse, I wonder how anyone could ever doubt whether or not God wants His children to be prosperous, successful and blessed. If you’re struggling from the quicksand of debt. . .that’s not God’s plan for you. If you’re so broke you can’t “order it your way at Burger King”. . .that’s not God’s plan for you. If you have to work two to three jobs just to make ends meet. . .that’s not God’s plan to prosper you.

Third, God will never make plans that are harmful to you in any way. Being unable to sleep at night because you’re worrying about where your next mortgage payment or rent check is coming from. . .is harmful to your health. . .so that can’t be God’s plan for you. Tensing up with dread every time the phone or doorbell rings for fear of having to deal with a creditor. . .is not God’s plan for you. Proverbs 1:33 in the New Living Translation says: “But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”

Fourth, God plans are to give you hope. When you’re struggling to pay your bills, worrying about the lack of good jobs, or concerned about your health or that of a family member. . .hope is a wonderful thing. The very good news is God has a plan to give you hope. . .in everything you encounter. The scripture is clear. . .hope comes from one place. Psalm 62:5 in the New Century Version says: “I find rest in God; only he gives me hope.” Not only does He give you hope. . .but it’s how He gives it to you. Romans 15:13 in the New Living Translation says: “I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace while you trust in him. Then your hope will overflow by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Fifth, God will give you a future. The kind of future God is giving you. . .is not just eternal life. I particularly like the New Living Translation of John 10:10 which says: “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

Sixth, God knows what He’s doing when it comes to you. The Message Bible Translation of Jeremiah 29:11 says: “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” I’ve had the privilege of knowing some really brilliant people. I have discovered over the years that no matter how smart someone is. . .they occasionally make mistakes, albeit, good-intentioned ones. No matter how smart a person is. . .either through intellectual acumen or common sense. . .they’re still human and subject to making wrong decisions. However, God knows what He’s doing and He’s never made a mistake and never will. Not only that. . .He will never abandon you in yours. Hebrews 13:5 in the Amplified Bible says it this way: “. . .for He [God] [b]Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not,[I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!].”

Seventh, God will not only give you a future He will give you the one you hoped for. Psalm 37:4 in the New Living Translation says: “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Not only will God give you the future you hope for. . .the desires of your heart. . . He will ensure your personal success. Psalm 20:4 in the New Living Translation says: “May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.” (H.Herring)

Now that’s the kind of guarantee that I like.
