On Saturday, May 11, 2019, a mass and fundraiser gala celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Enshrinement Our Lady of Penafrancia at St. Matthias was held at the Holiday Inn North Shore in Skokie, IL. The sold out event was organized by the officers of the Confraternity of Our Lady of Penafrancia, a volunteer run organization of Bikolano and Non-Bikolano devotees led by President, Rogelio R. Odiamar. The evening included a program filled with dances and song from members of the community, reuniting of old friendships and creation of new ones, as well as a presenting of the funds raised to St. Matthias Church.
