Isabel Buted Blankas August 4, 1920 ~ November 21, 2024 (age 104)

A cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who left a legacy of love, faith, and kindness. Born in Laoag City to Zacharias Buted & Maria Victoriano, the 3rd child among 6 children. She finished teaching at the Normal College in Manila. She was married to the late Dr. Samson Blankas, an optometrist. Isabel leaves behind her seven children, Dr. Sesinando Blankas Jr, optometrist; Isabelita Blankas-Krause, Doctor of Education at the University of the Philippines and post-graduate degree for Educational Studies at the University of Queensland in Australia; Angelita Blankas- Tolentino, Doctor of Education; Dr. Abraham Blankas, an optometrist; Joe Blankas, Bachelor in Law; Dr. Nestor Blankas, Optometrist; and Dr. Nida Blankas-Hernaez, a pediatrician. Isabel will be forever missed, but she’ll always remain in our hearts. Wake and Visitation: was held at the Holy Cross Cemetery Mortuary, Culver City, CA, and Funeral: December 7, 2024. Church Mass at 11 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 7490 W. Manchester Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90045. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery,5837 West Slauson Ave., Culver City, CA 90293.
