Love, Joy And Peace

By: Nancy Abiera

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody! With trumpets and the sound of the horn, make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!” Psalm 98:4-6

We celebrate Christmas for it is the season of joy, gift-giving, and of families gathering together in the spirit of love. The joy of sharing love brightens our lives and brings good tidings to others. However, the Christmas song “Joy to the World” was originally based on Psalm 98 and, celebrates Christ’s second coming much more than the first coming of Jesus on earth.
Please note that JOY is experienced when we have the right order of priority and importance for the reason of the season as follows:
Jesus Jesus is the greatest gift of all.
Others Obedience in sharing Jesus love to others is our greatest gift to God and others.
You You will experience so much love, joy, peace from God and goodwill from men.
In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Moreover, the Bible also said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, and whosoever believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life.”
I would like to quote some of my favorite quotes as follows:
“Joy is the infallible sign of the presence of God.” Teilhard de Chardin
“Joy is the holy fire that keeps our purpose warm and our intelligence aglow”. Helen Keller
“We need joy as we need air. We need love as we need water. We need each other as we need the earth we share.” Maya Angelou
“Joy is the simplest form of gratitude”. Karl Barth
Even Michael Jackson sang “Why don’t you give love on Christmas Day. Oh even the man who has everything. Would be so happy if you would bring, Him love on Christmas Day. No greater gift is there than love.”
I am so convinced that the greatest gift we can give to anyone regardless of age, gender, status, position, etc. is
1. Receive the love of God in Jesus.
Pray: “Jesus, I now open my heart to you and receive you as my Savior, Master and Lord. Thank you for the gift of abundant life here on earth and the eternal life in heaven.”

2. Share the love of Jesus to Others by sharing the prayer mentioned in #1.
3. Wait in perseverance for the second coming of Jesus and continue serving God and His people.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Always choose “On A Bright Side” moving further and farther “On A Brightest Side”. I love you readers with the love of the Lord yet the Lord loves you the most. You are blessed. Smile and be a blessing!
